Shirley Jane Temple (born April 23 1928), later known as Shirley Temple Black, is an American diplomat and former film child actress. She starred in over 40 films during the 1930s.
While working for Educational Pictures, Temple also performed many walk-on跑龙套 and bit player roles小角色 in various other movies. She was finally signed to Fox Film Corporation (which later merged with 20th Century Pictures to become 20th Century Fox) in late 1933 after appearing in Stand Up and Cheer with James Dunn. Later, she was paired with Dunn in several films.
Temple would stay with Fox until 1940, becoming the studio's most lucrative赚钱的 player. Her contract was amended several times between 1933 and 1935, and she was loaned租借 to Paramount for a pair of successful films in 1934. For four solid years(足足四年 solid gold纯金, 赤金;solid colo(u)r单色;two solid hours足足两个小时;solid foot立方英尺, she ranked as the top-grossing box office star in America. To hold on to her babyhood, Shirley's birth certificate出生证明 had been altered. Only on her twelfth birthday did she realize she was actually thirteen. [1]

Her popularity earned her both public adulation公众的阿谀 and the approval of her peers. Even at the age of five, the hallmark of her acting work was her professionalism: she always had her lines memorized and dance steps prepared when shooting began. She was the first recipient of the special Juvenile Performer Academy Award in 1935. Seventy years later, Temple is still the youngest performer ever to receive this honor. She is also the youngest actor to add foot and hand prints to the forecourt at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
Screen Actors Guild (SAG) announced on September 12, 2005, that she was to receive the Guild's most prestigious honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award. SAG President Melissa Gilbert said:
"I can think of no one more deserving of this year's SAG Life Achievement award than Shirley Temple Black. Her contributions to the entertainment industry are without precedent; her contributions to the world are nothing short of(完全是,简直可以说)inspirational. She has lived the most remarkable life, as the brilliant performer the world came to know when she was just a child, to the dedicated public servant who has served her country both at home and abroad for 30 years. In everything she has done and accomplished, Shirley Temple Black has demonstrated uncommon grace, talent and determination, not to mention compassion and courage. As a child, I was thrilled to dance and sing to her films and more recently as Guild president I have been proud to work alongside her, as her friend and colleague, in service to our union. She has been an indelible难以磨灭的 influence on my life. She was my idol when I was a girl and remains my idol today."
轶事:
Shirley Temple auditioned for a lead role in Hal Roach's Our Gang comedies (later known as The Little Rascals) in the early 1930s, but she was not cast. The reason why varies, depending upon who is telling the story. Roach stated that Temple and her mother were unable to make it through the red tape of the audition process, while Our Gang producer/director Robert F. McGowan recalls that the studio wanted to cast Temple, but they refused to give in to Temple's mother's demands that Temple receive special star billing. Temple, in her autobiography Child Star童星, denies that she ever auditioned for Our Gang at all.[3] However, Temple had some connection with Our Gang in that Temple's carpool friend, David Holt, had a small role in the 1933 Little Rascals film Forgotten Babies.
Ambition and History Meet in China's Hollywood
The size of Paramount and Universal Studios combined, Hengdian in southern China is the world's largest film studio.
In just 10 years, Hengdian has transformed itself from a poverty-stricken farming village to a collection of replica palaces, temples and historical streets, open to film crews, often for free.
A life-size reproduction实物大小的复制品 of Beijing's Forbidden City — home to China's emperors — is just one of Hengdian's 18 sets. TV series, commercials and some of China's most famous movies — such as Zhang Yimou's Hero and Chen Kaige's The Promise — have been filmed there.
And the list of international movies shot at Hengdian will soon include The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the third installment of the Hollywood blockbuster series.
Hengdian also owes its success in part to the low cost of labor there. Extras临时演员, for example, make $2.50 a day, working as many as 20 hours per day.
The Hengdian studio generated about $50 million last year. Nearly 90 percent of that came from the 3 million tourists, most of them Chinese, who visit the studio.
In China — where old buildings are torn down in the blink of an eye — many visitors say they haven't come for the movie glamour, but to learn about their country's past — from the fake buildings.
In many ways, Hengdian encapsulates浓缩 modern China in its breathtaking scale, the amazing speed of its development and its armies of low-cost labor.
It has transformed life in the surrounding area, allowing subsistence farmers(自给自足的农民) to run shops, restaurants and hotels. Hengdian is symbolic, too, for its ambition.
Officials at the studio say they believe the film sets will be historical treasures. And watching the pleasure the tourists take in the empty shells of these replica buildings, that doesn't seem so far-fetched牵强的.
两封垃圾邮件:
Aloha(夏威夷人的问候语欢迎), my gentleman.
I've been searching for a man of my dreams, of my desire and I indeed hope that you are that person, and I have somehow fallen hopelessly and undeniably(无可辩驳的,不可否认的), though virtually in love with you. To be honest, I never thought I would ever utter those words, but now, they come forth effortlessly and with great sincerity. I'll be forever grateful to you if you show me just how shallow my life was. At last, I have a chance to give it depth and purpose.
It would probably be better to tell you this during meeting in person, eyes to eyes, but I knew that the proper words would escape me. I wrote you this letter instead. Please answer me http://lovegreatthing.com/waitme after you read it, and we'll communicate. Until I hear from you, I remain totally yours in thought and spirit.
Waiting for your response
Olga
Privet, my friend
I am both nervous and exciting, and it seems to me that I could not find right words in order to express my aim, my wishes and my dreams...
Why am I here? I am here in order to become your angel, to become the part of your heart, to come into your world and to stay there forever.
What do I want? I want our hearts to be linked, I want to make this distance shorter with my love to you, I want our hearts to beat together, I want to make you happy with me.
What will you find with me? It will be love and care, passionate and friendship, support and understanding.
Words can't longer describe my feelings and wishes, but I know that sea separates us till that special day, I know we take each breath with every beat, and always together ... as one. It is my wish, which I tried to bring to you....
My soul and heart are waiting for you http://onlyloveall.com/loveshe
Sincerely yourth
