Along with a nap (siesta午休) in the day, it has been argued that this is the natural pattern of human sleep. A case has been made that maintaining such a sleep pattern may be important in regulating stress. According to Ekirch's argument, typically individuals slept in two distinct phases, bridged by an intervening period of wakefulness of approximately one hour. Peasant couples, who were often too tired after field labor to do much more than eat and go to sleep, awoke later to have sex. People also used this time to pray and reflect, and to interpret dreams, which were more vivid at that hour than upon waking in the morning. Crocheting, like knitting, consists of pulling loops through other loops, but additionally incorporates wrapping the working material around the hook one or more times. Crochet differs from knitting in that only one stitch is active at one time (exceptions being Tunisian crochet and broomstick lace), stitches made with the same diameter of yarn are comparably taller, and a single crochet hook is used instead of two knitting needles. Additionally, crochet has its own system of symbols to represent stitch types.

Theistic Satanism, sometimes referred to as traditional Satanism, or spiritual Satanism, is a form of Satanism with the primary belief that Satan is an actual deity or force to revere or worship. Other characteristics of Theistic Satanism may include a belief in magic, which is manipulated through ritual. The history of theistic Satanism, and assessments of its existence and prevalence in history, is obscured by it having been grounds for execution at some times in the past, and due to people having been accused of it who did not consider themselves to worship Satan, such as in the witch trials in Early Modern Europe. Historically, the name refers to the Bavarian Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded on May 1, 1776. The society's goals were to oppose 反对, 反抗 superstition, prejudice, religious influence over public life and abuses of state power, and to support women's education and gender equality. The Illuminati—along with other secret societies—were outlawed 被判非法, 被禁 by the Bavarian ruler, Charles Theodore, with the encouragement of the Roman Catholic Church, and were permanently disbanded解散, 解体 in 1785. In the several years following, the group was vilified by conservative and religious critics(vilify to criticize someone very strongly, especially in a way that is not fair and that damages their reputation.) who claimed that they had regrouped 重组 and were responsible for the French Revolution. In subsequent use, "Illuminati" refers to various organisations which claim or are purported to have links to the original Bavarian Illuminati or similar secret societies, though these links are unsubstantiated 查无实据的, 没有根据的. They are often alleged to conspire 图谋 to control world affairs, by masterminding 策划 events and planting agents in government and corporations, in order to gain political power and influence and to establish a New World Order. Central to some of the most widely known and elaborate conspiracy theories, the Illuminati have been depicted as lurking in the shadows 躲在暗处 and pulling the strings and levers of power in dozens of novels, movies, television shows, comics, video games and music videos. There is no evidence that the original Bavarian Illuminati society survived its suppression躲过镇压 in 1785. However, writers such as Mark Dice, David Icke, Texe Marrs, Jüri Lina and Morgan Gricar have argued that the Bavarian Illuminati have survived, possibly to this day. Many modern conspiracy theories propose that world events are being controlled and manipulated by a secret society calling itself the Illuminati. Conspiracy theorists have claimed that many notable people were or are members of the Illuminati. Presidents of the United States are a common target for such claims. Other theorists contend that a variety of historical events were orchestrated by the Illuminati, from the Battle of Waterloo, the French Revolution and President John F. Kennedy's assassination to an alleged communist plot to hasten the New World Order by infiltrating渗透, 深入, 打入内部 the Hollywood film industry. 关于Illuminati的报道: Did The Illuminati Control Last Night's VMAs? Last week, we gave you two sides of a much-heated national debate. First, we gave you 16 examples that prove the Illuminati control the VMAs. Then, we flipped the argument on its head, giving 16 more reasons why they totally don't. Her revelations cast the "war on terror" and "homeland security" in their true light 揭开真相, 无可遁形 ( cast/shed/throw light on sth Something or someone that casts/sheds/throws light on a situation provides an explanation for it or information that makes it easier to understand: As an economist, he was able to shed some light on the problem.). "I am convinced she is the real McCoy," Springer wrote to me. "I have personally relayed numerous email messages to her from other members -- ritually abused, brainwashed, raped, sexually abused people & you name it -- some of them confirming to me her story. So I have absolutely no doubt that Svali has been part of the Illuminati since childhood." I also trust Svali's testimony证言, 证词 because it confirms 相一致, 证实 my intuition and intensive research. Everything fits: from the dead hand that seems to suppress humanity to why Clinton gave secret technology to the Chinese, to persistent reports of concentration camps in the US. It explains why people I know behave in a conspiratorial way. I thank Svali for giving me a frightening but incredible key to understanding the world. 2. The Zeitgeist 时代思潮, 时代主流思想 (spirit of the age or spirit of the time) is the intellectual fashion or dominant school of thought that typifies and influences the culture of a particular period in time. For example, the Zeitgeist of modernism typified and influenced architecture, art, and fashion during much of the 20th century. Hegel黑格尔 believed that art reflected, by its very nature, the culture of the time in which it is created. Culture and art are inextricable because an individual artist is a product of his or her time艺术家是时代的产物 and therefore brings that culture to any given work of art. Furthermore, he believed that in the modern world it was impossible to produce classical art, which he believed represented a "free and ethical culture", which depended more on the philosophy of art and theory of art, rather than a reflection of the social construct, or Zeitgeist in which a given artist lives. In the analysis of the arts and culture, the concept of a "spirit of the age" or zeitgeist may be problematic as a tool for analysis of periods which are socially or culturally fragmented and diverse. Zeitgeist: The Movie is a 2007 documentary-style film by Peter Joseph. It presents 呈现 a number of conspiracy theory-based ideas, such as the Christ myth theory, conspiracy theories about the 9/11 attacks in 2001, and argues that bankers manipulate 操控 the media and international monetary system. Released online on June 18, 2007, at zeitgeistmovie.com, it became popular among conspiracy theorists. Some critics have questioned the accuracy of its claims and the quality of its arguments, describing it as "agitprop" and "propaganda." This film gathers information from many sources and puts it together in a way that shows it is possible for people to be manipulated by large institutions, governments and economic powers. With many news clips from tragic events in history, audio excerpts from those who believe people are being misled about the level of freedom they have, this riveting ( rivet [ˈrɪvɪt] n. 销子. a metal pin used for joining pieces of metal together. v. to join two things together with rivets. be riveted by/to something to interest someone so much that they pay complete attention. if your eyes or attention are riveted on or to someone or something, you are so interested or frightened that you cannot stop looking at them. A very timely and important piece of work that all free thinking people should see. Agitprop 政治宣传剧 ([ˈædʒitprop]; from Russian, a portmanteau derived from the words agitation and propaganda) is stage plays, pamphlets, motion pictures and other art forms with an explicitly political message. In the case of agitprop, the ideas to be disseminated were those of communism, including explanations of the policy of the Communist Party and the Soviet state. In other contexts, propaganda could mean dissemination of any kind of beneficial knowledge, e.g., of new methods in agriculture. Agitation meant urging people to do what Soviet leaders expected them to do; again, at various levels. In other words, propaganda was supposed to act on the mind, while agitation acted on emotions, although both usually went together, thus giving rise to the cliché "propaganda and agitation". The term agitprop gave rise to agitprop theatre, a highly politicized leftist theatre originated in 1920s Europe and spread to America; the plays of Bertolt Brecht being a notable example. Russian agitprop theater was noted for its cardboard characters ( cardboard 流于表面的, 浮夸的, 不深入的, 没有深度的 (Of a character in a literary work) lacking depth and realism; artificial: with its superficial, cardboard characters, the novel was typical of her work. ) of perfect virtue and complete evil 大忠大奸, and its coarse ridicule. Gradually the term agitprop came to describe any kind of highly politicized 高度政治化的 art. In the Western world, agitprop has a negative connotation. In the United Kingdom during the 1980s, for example, socialist elements of the political scene were often accused of using agitprop to convey an extreme left-wing message via television programmes or theatre. After the October Revolution of 1917, an agitprop train toured the country, with artists and actors performing simple plays and broadcasting propaganda. It had a printing press on board the train to allow posters to be reproduced and thrown out of the windows if it passed through villages.

Jigging is the practice of fishing with a jig, a type of fishing lure. A jig consists of a lead sinker with a hook molded into it and usually covered by a soft body to attract fish. Jigs are intended to create a jerky, vertical motion, as opposed to spinnerbaits which move through the water horizontally. The jig is very versatile and can be used in both salt and fresh water. Many species are attracted to the lure which has made it popular among anglers for years. For successful jigging, the jigger needs to use a rod which is good for feeling a strike, and needs to stay in contact with the lure and get it to where the fish are. Most fish caught by jigs are on or near the bottom. Fishing lure 通过自身的游动或者振动来迷惑鱼的装置, 一般有多个鱼钩: A fishing lure is an object attached to the end of a fishing line which is designed to resemble and move like the prey猎物 of a fish. The purpose of the lure is to use movement, vibration, and colour to catch the fish's attention so it bites the hook. Lures are equipped with one or more single, double, or treble hooks that are used to hook fish when they attack the lure. Lures are usually used with a fishing rod and fishing reel. When a lure is used for casting, it is continually cast out and retrieved, the retrieve making the lure swim or produce a popping action. A skilled angler(Angling is a method of fishing by means of an "angle" (fish hook). The hook is usually attached to a fishing line and the line is often attached to a fishing rod. Fishing rods are usually fitted with a fishing reel that functions as a mechanism for storing, retrieving and paying out the line. The hook itself can be dressed with lures or bait. A bite indicator such as a float is sometimes used. Angling is a principal method of sport fishing, but commercial fisheries also use angling methods such as longlining or trolling. Catch and release fishing is increasingly practiced by recreational fishermen. In many parts of the world, size limits apply to certain species, meaning fish below and/or above a certain size must, by law, be released.) can explore many possible hiding places for fish through lure casting such as under logs and on flats.

鲶鱼/鲇鱼: Catfishes鲶鱼(order Siluriformes) are a diverse group of ray-finned fish. Named for their prominent barbels, which resemble a cat's whiskers, catfish range in size and behavior from the heaviest and longest, the Mekong giant catfish from Southeast Asia and the second longest, the wels catfish of Eurasia, to detritivores (species that eat dead material on the bottom), and even to a tiny parasitic species commonly called the candiru, Vandellia cirrhosa. There are armour-plated types and also naked types, neither having scales都没有鱼鳞. Despite their name, not all catfish have prominent barbels; members of the Siluriformes order are defined by features of the skull and swimbladder. Catfish are of considerable commercial importance; many of the larger species are farmed or fished for food. Many of the smaller species, particularly the genus Corydoras, are important in the aquarium hobby. Catfish are nocturnal. Candiru寄生鲇( also canero, toothpick fish, or willy fish): These smaller species are known for an alleged tendency to invade and parasitise( ['pærəsi,taiz -sai-]) the human urethra尿道; however, despite ethnological reports dating back to the late 19th century, the first documented case of the removal of a candiru from a human urethra did not occur until 1997, and even that incident has remained a matter of controversy. In the movie Anaconda, released in 1997, the character played by Eric Stoltz, mentions his fear of the Candiru. Specifically, he mentions the catfish's ability to climb up a human's urethra. Urechis unicinctus 海肠 is a species of marine spoon worm. It is widely referred to as the fat innkeeper worm or the penis fish.
