软件开发和问题分析的方法策略: Top-down and bottom-up are strategies of information processing and knowledge ordering, mostly involving software, but also other humanistic and scientific theories (see systemics). In practice, they can be seen as a style of thinking and teaching. In many cases top-down is used as a synonym of analysis or decomposition分析, 分解, and bottom-up of synthesis 综合法, 合成法. A top-down approach (is also known as step-wise design) is essentially the breaking down of a system to gain insight into its compositional sub-systems. In a top-down approach an overview of the system is formulated, specifying but not detailing any first-level subsystems. Each subsystem is then refined in yet greater detail, sometimes in many additional subsystem levels, until the entire specification is reduced to base elements. A top-down model is often specified with the assistance of "black boxes", these make it easier to manipulate. However, black boxes may fail to elucidate([i'lu:si,deit] To make clear; to clarify; to shed light upon.) elementary mechanisms or be detailed enough to realistically validate the model. A bottom-up approach is the piecing together of systems to give rise to grander systems, thus making the original systems sub-systems of the emergent system. In a bottom-up approach the individual base elements of the system are first specified in great detail. These elements are then linked together to form larger subsystems, which then in turn are linked, sometimes in many levels, until a complete top-level system is formed. This strategy often resembles a "seed" model, whereby the beginnings are small but eventually grow in complexity and completeness. However, "organic strategies" may result in a tangle of elements and subsystems, developed in isolation各自独立开发 and subject to local optimization as opposed to meeting a global purpose. 例句: In this series we're approaching an understanding of monads "bottom up", by trying to suss out the pattern, rather than by going "top down", starting with category theory or functional language practice. Today we'll start looking for commonalities寻找共性 beyond their being generic types. Before we get into that 在那之前 though I want to call out three small ways that I'm going to try to increase the clarity of this exposition.
The First Epistle to the Corinthians, often referred to as First Corinthians (and written as 1 Corinthians), is the seventh book of the New Testament of the Bible. The Apostle Paul and "Sosthenes our brother" wrote this epistle to "the church of God which is at Corinth", in Greece.[1Cor.1:1-2] This epistle contains some of the best-known phrases in the New Testament, including (depending on the translation) "all things to all men" (9:22), "without love, I am nothing" (13:2), "through a glass, darkly" (13:12), and "when I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child" (13:11). New International Version (NIV) - Corinthians 13: 13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong锣 or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom ( fathom ['fæðəm] I. to measure the depth of, esp with a sounding line; sound. II. an appearance or illusion without material substance, as a mirage or optical illusion. III. 幻影 a person or thing of merely illusory power, status, efficacy, etc.: the phantom of fear. adj. I. 虚幻的. 幻想中的. 想象中的 of, pertaining to, or of the nature of a phantom; illusory: a phantom ship; an amputee with a phantom limb. II. nonexistent; fictitious: phantom employees on the payroll. amputee [,æmpju'ti:] n. a person who has had a limb amputated. ) all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing( without love, I am nothing.). 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy ( prophesy ['profi, sai] to reveal or foretell (something, esp a future event) by or as if by divine inspiration. ) in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me(KJB version: When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.). 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. (KJB的版本译作: For
now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know
in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. This basically means that whilst on this earth we can only have a poor glimpse of the Kingdom of God as if we are looking into a dark mirror (the 'glass') where the reflection is very poor - in other words, we do not get the complete picture of what the Kingdom of God is actually like. However, when we die and our souls are released, then, when we meet God face to face, we will know the Kingdom of God fully - 'Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.' says Paul just a few words later. Also Paul was juxtaposing([,dʒʌkstə'pəuz] to place close together or side by side. To place side by side, especially for comparison or contrast. ); making the comparison of seeing through a dim and cloudy glass to the common artist practice of "perspectus," (per-through + spect, spicere or specere-to look + tus suffix of the Latin verb-ars or skillful action as in rendering from 3-d to 2-d) viz., looking through a glass/window/transparent picture plane and tracing a clear image (portrait, buildingscape, etc.) via monocular sighting from its mimetic source. Paul knew this elementary form of picture making and representation, of tracing images on glass, was familiar to his listeners so he made the analogous but contrasting link of not seeing clearly, through say a smoke tinted window pane, to that of seeing perfectly the traced images produced by the artists of his time. Moreover, Leonardo da Vinci spoke of the ancient practice of "perspectus" being utilized in Renaissance times when he said, "There are some who look at the things produced by nature through glass, or other surfaces or transparent veils. They trace outlines on the surface of the transparent medium…". ) 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. Paul's Use of His Freedom ch9(all things to all men): 19 Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. United States Navy SEAL selection and training选训(The United States Navy's Sea, Air, Land Teams, commonly known as the Navy SEALs): Entering training to become a Navy SEAL is voluntary, and officers and enlisted men train side-by-side. To volunteer, SEAL candidates must be male, between 18 and 28 years old, and US citizens in the U.S. Navy. Occasionally, personnel from foreign armed forces allied with the United States will also be invited to take part in BUDS training. For a period of two years, of an initial seven planned原本计划是七年, members of Coast Guard were allowed to attend SEAL training until the exchange program was suspended in 2011. Academically学历上, all applicants must have the equivalent of a high school education, have a composite score of at least 220 on the ASVAB and be proficient in all aspects of the English language. Medically, all potential applicants must have at least 20/75 vision视力, correctable to 20/20可矫正视力, be able to pass the SEAL Physical Screening Test and have no recent history of drug abuse. Lastly applicants must have "good moral character" as determined by his history of criminal convictions and civil citations. Assessment: Assignment to BUD/S is conditional on passing the SEAL Physical Screening Test (PST). Prospective trainees are expected to exceed the minimums. The minimum requirements最低要求 are 500 yd (460 m) swim using breast or combat sidestroke in under 12:30( Combat side stroke or CSS is a variation of the side stroke that was developed by and taught to the United States Navy SEALs. The Combat Swimmer Stroke is a relaxing and very efficient swim stroke that is an updated version of the traditional sidestroke. The CSS is a mix of sidestroke, freestyle and breaststroke. The combat side stroke allows the swimmer to swim more efficiently and reduce the body's profile in the water in order to be less likely to be seen during combat operations if surface swimming is required. The concept of CSS has been that it can be used with or without wearing swim fins (flippers), the only difference being that when wearing swim fins the swimmer's legs will always be kicking in the regular flutter kick motion without the scissor kick. This stroke is one of the strokes that can be used for prospective SEAL candidates in the SEAL Physical Screening Test (PST), which includes a 500 yard swim in 12 minutes 30 seconds to determine if the candidate is suitable to go to the Basic Underwater Demolitions/SEAL school. The sidestroke is a swimming stroke, so named because the swimmer lies on one's side with asymmetric arm and leg motion and it is helpful as a lifesaving technique and is often used for long-distance swimming. The sidestroke allows the swimmer increased endurance because, instead of working both arms and legs simultaneously in the same way, the side stroke uses them simultaneously but differently. A swimmer tired of exercising one side can turn over and use the other, the change of action helping the limbs to recover.) with a competitive time of 9:00 or less, at least 50 push-ups in 2 minutes with a competitive count of 90 or more, at least 50 sit-ups in 2 minutes with a competitive count of 85 or more, at least 10 pull-ups from a dead hang (no time limit) with a competitive count of 18 or more, run 1.5 mi (2.4 km) in running shorts and boots in under 10:30 with a competitive time of 9:30 or less. Naval Special Warfare Preparatory School (8 weeks): The training curriculum begins at Naval Special Warfare Preparatory School in Great Lakes, Illinois. Here, aspiring SEALs are given a crash course in the physical standards required to even attempt to become a SEAL. It starts with an initial Physical Screening Test and ends with a more demanding Physical Screening Test, one that includes a timed four-mile run and a timed 1,000-meter swim. The goal is to increase the SEAL candidates physical readiness做好准备 between the two tests so that they are ready to move on to Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Training. Those unable to pass the final test are removed from the SEAL training pipeline and reclassified into other jobs in the Navy. Basic Underwater Demolition(demolition [ˌdɛmə'liʃən] n. the act of demolishing or state of being demolished.)/SEAL (BUD/S) Training (24 weeks): BUD/S is a 24-week training challenge that develops the SEAL candidates mental and physical stamina and leadership skills. Each BUD/S phase includes timed physical condition tests, with the time requirements becoming more demanding each week. BUD/S consists of a three-week orientation followed by three phases, covering physical conditioning (seven weeks), combat diving (seven weeks), and land warfare (seven weeks) respectively. Officer and enlisted personnel go through the same training program. It is designed to develop and test their stamina, leadership, and ability to work as a team. Orientation (3 weeks): BUD/S Orientation is a three-week course that introduces candidates to Coronado, the Naval Special Warfare Center and the BUD/S lifestyle. During Orientation, Navy SEAL instructors introduce candidates to BUD/S physical training, the obstacle course and other unique training aspects. This part of training is designed to prepare candidates for day one of the first phase. Phase 1: Physical Conditioning (7 weeks): The first phase of BUD/S assesses SEAL candidates in physical conditioning体能条件, water competency, teamwork and mental tenacity精神坚韧. Physical conditioning utilizes running, swimming and calisthenics and grows harder and harder as the weeks progress. Candidates will participate in weekly four mile timed runs in boots and timed obstacle courses, swim distances up to two miles wearing fins in the ocean and learn small boat seamanship. The first three weeks of basic conditioning prepares candidates for the fourth week, known by many as Hell Week. During Hell Week, candidates will participate in five and a half days of continuous training, each candidate sleeps four hours maximum but runs more than 200 miles and does physical training for more than 20 hours per day. This week is designed as the ultimate test of one's physical and mental motivation. During Hell Week, candidates will learn the value of cool headedness头脑冷静, perseverance坚毅, and above all, teamwork. For those who make it through 通过 this grueling challenge, the remaining three weeks are devoted to teaching various methods of conducting hydrographic surveys and creating a hydrographic chart. Because of its particularly challenging requirements, many candidates begin questioning their decision to come to BUD/S during First Phase, with a significant number deciding to Drop on Request (DOR)自动放弃, 自动退出. The tradition of DOR consists of dropping one's helmet liner ['lai,nər] 头盔套(棉套) ( linear ['liniə] 线性的. ) next to a pole with a brass黄铜 ship's bell ( A ship's bell 船上的铃 is used to indicate the time aboard a ship and hence to regulate the sailors' duty watches. The bell itself is usually made of brass or bronze and often has the ship's name engraved or cast on it. The ship's cook (or his staff) traditionally has the job of shining the ship's bell. ) attached to it and ringing the bell three times. Phase 2: Combat Diving (7 weeks): The diving phase of BUD/S trains, develops and qualifies SEAL candidates as competent basic combat swimmers. During this period, physical training continues and becomes even more intensive. This second phase concentrates on combat SCUBA. Candidates will learn two types of SCUBA: open circuit (compressed air) and closed circuit (100% oxygen). Also, basic dive medicine and medical skills training is provided. Emphasis is placed on long-distance underwater dives with the goal of training students to become basic combat divers(A frogman蛙人 is someone who is trained in scuba diving or swimming underwater in a tactical capacity which includes combat. Such personnel are also known by the more formal names of combat diver, or combatant diver, or combat swimmer. "Combat swimming" is often used to mean "combat diving", but, according to some, strictly speaking means surface swimming without a breathing apparatus for coastal or ship infiltration. Such actions are a historical form of "frogman" activity and an important feature of naval special operations. The term '"frogman" is often popularly used to refer to a civilian scuba diver.), using swimming and diving techniques as a means of transportation from their launch point 出发点 to their combat objective战斗目标. This is what separates SEALs from all other special operations forces. Successful second phase candidates demonstrate a high level of comfort in the water and the ability to perform in stressful and often uncomfortable environments. Candidates who are not completely comfortable in the water often struggle to succeed. Phase 3: Land Warfare (7 weeks): The land warfare phase teaches the class basic weapons, demolitions, land navigation, patrolling, rappelling, marksmanship and small-unit tactics. During third phase, the class is taught to gather and process information that will complete the overall mission. There is more classroom work that teaches map, compass, land navigation and basic weapon skill sets. These skill sets allow the class to transition from having novice skills to becoming more comfortable out in the field. Most of this training is new to the class, and the learning pace becomes faster and faster. For the final three and a half weeks of training, the class goes offshore, about 60 miles from Coronado to San Clemente Island. On the island, the class practices the skills they learned in third phase. The days become longer and more work intensive, set to 意图, 目的是 mirror the work hours spent in the field. Parachute Jump School (3 weeks): Upon successful completion of BUD/S, SEAL candidates go on to receive both static line and free-fall training at Tactical Air Operations in San Diego, CA. The accelerated 3-week program is highly regimented ( [ˈrɛdʒɪmənt] n. A military unit of ground troops consisting of at least two battalions, usually commanded by a colonel. v. I. to force discipline or order on, esp in a domineering manner. II. to form into organized groups. ), facilitated by world-class instructors, and designed to develop safe and competent free-fall jumpers in a short period of time. To complete the course, candidates must pass through a series of jump progressions, from basic static line to accelerated free fall to combat equipment – ultimately completing night descents with combat equipment from a minimum altitude of 9,500 feet. 词汇补充: Calisthenics 柔软体操运动, 用于热身简单运动, 活动开身体. Calisthenics when performed vigorously and with variety can benefit both muscular and cardiovascular fitness, in addition to improving psychomotor skills such as balance, agility ([ə'dʒiliti] ) and coordination. Stretching 伸展运动 is a form of physical exercise in which a specific muscle or tendon (or muscle group) is deliberately flexed or stretched in order to improve the muscle's felt elasticity肌肉弹性 and achieve comfortable muscle tone. The result is a feeling of increased muscle control, flexibility and range of motion. Stretching is also used therapeutically to alleviate cramps抽筋(I cramped up. 我抽筋了刚才.). In its most basic form, stretching is a natural and instinctive activity; it is performed by humans and many animals. It can be accompanied by yawning. Stretching often occurs instinctively after waking from sleep, after long periods of inactivity, or after exiting confined spaces and areas. Increasing flexibility through stretching is one of the basic tenets of physical fitness. It is common for athletes to stretch before and after exercise in order to reduce injury and increase performance. Stretching can be dangerous when performed incorrectly. There are many techniques for stretching in general, but depending on which muscle group is being stretched, some techniques may be ineffective or detrimental, even to the point of causing permanent damage to the tendons肌腱, ligaments韧带 and muscle fiber肌纤维. The physiological nature of stretching and theories about the effect of various techniques are therefore subject to heavy inquiry. The flutter kick is a kicking movement used in both swimming and calisthenics. When swimming either front crawl or backstroke, the legs are extended straight backwards in line with the body. They are moved up and down, one leg kicking downwards (relative to the front of the swimmer's body) as the other leg moves up. The knees are slightly bent to facilitate the kicking action, but not too much in order to minimise drag created by the thighs as they move out of the shadow of the swimmer's body. An integral part of the kick is the flexing of the ankles甩脚腕; it is the flexing of the ankle that allows the foot to provide thrust. The downward moving leg provides the thrust. It is incorrect to do the flutter kick with completely straight legs. A scissor kick in martial arts is used to describe certain kicking or grabbing techniques that resemble a pair of scissors. It's also a leg movement used in swimming, such as in the sidestroke.
