Ugh, maybe it's just me, but when I have a frustrating experience with a customer service rep, I usually feel cranky 心情不好的 for at least some portion of the day after the call. 关于一个电话给Call Center: She was clearly not listening to anything I was saying, and like a stubborn bull倔牛, she wouldn't budge改变心意. So there I was… left to make a choice. Do I let this experience ruin the rest of my weekend, or do I try to make light of it看轻, 看淡, 不当回事? After my crankiness settled, I decided that my best bet was to hope that one of my readers has some upcoming travel in 2012 that I could apply my credit shell to. 3. statutory [US ˈstætjutori; BE -tri] statutory rape法定强奸. age of consent [kən'sent] 法定年龄. The age of consent is the age at which a person is considered to be legally competent to consent to sexual acts, and is thus the minimum age of a person with whom another person is legally permitted to engage in sexual activity. The distinguishing aspect of the age of consent laws is that the person below the minimum age is regarded as the victim, and their sex partner as the offender. The term age of consent rarely actually appears in legal statutes; it has sometimes been used with other meanings, such as the age at which a person becomes competent to consent to marriage, but the meaning given above is the one now generally understood. It should not be confused with the age of majority, age of criminal responsibility, the voting age, the drinking age, driving age, etc. 4. The victim started talking to a group of 10 people at the station at 1pm on November 25 when an argument broke out暴发争吵. One of the men allegedly punched the victim in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. The victim was then kicked around 10 times to the head. Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist them in their inquiries. 5. leave it with me 留给我, 交给我照看, 给我(或者用来指现在不想或不能处理, 留给我我来想办法.) or leave it to me 我来处理吧, 我来做好了, 交给我吧(用来指需要去做的事情): My colleague didn't want to do her job and asked me to do what had to be done in her place. I said that I would, but that she should have taken care of it herself, as it's part of her job. Then she said, all right leave it to me then. Generally, leave it to me means "let me handle it or take care of it". If someone says leave it with me, then normally that means that either they have something that is to be left with the person for some future action. Ex. I could leave my dog with my neighbor while I go on vacation, but I could also ask someone to leave a problem with me, and I'll think about it/try to solve it. If something needs to get done, then 'with' doesn't make as much sense to me. Can't explain the whys of any of this, but this is how it is normally used. "I need a few days off", I might say to the boss. "Leave it with me", he would reply (either expressly( I. 明确的, 明白无误的. In an express or a definite manner; explicitly: I expressly ordered the visitor to leave. II. 特别的, 专门的. Especially; particularly: tools designed expressly for left-handed workers.) or impliedly adding, "I'll see what I can do". People normally use the phrase "leave it with me" when they are approached by another person with a problem and they can't, or don't want to, solve the problem straight away. It means that they will reflect in their own time on the problem they have been set, make a decision and follow up with some sort of action. Here's somebody else's take on the phrase: "Leave it with me": In general, the meaning is"I will think some more about this matter and deal with it in the best way I can. I may speak to you again about this." leave it out! UK slang I. stop doing or saying that. British spoken for telling someone to stop saying something. Hey, leave it out! That hurts! II. I do not believe you: "I tell you, he was driving a sports car." "Leave it out!". leave out to not include someone or something. She feels left out because the other children don't play with her. leave something out of something: We decided to leave the chapter out of the book altogether.

墨尔本少年杀无家可归者案: A TEENAGER charged with murdering homeless man Wayne "Mousey" Perry has appeared in court for the first time. Easton Woodhead, 19, faced the Melbourne Magistrates Court this morning charged over the alleged killing dressed in a blue police-issued 警方发的 jumpsuit. Flanked by two prison guards he kept his head down for most of the administrative hearing. Police believe Mr Perry was killed following a dispute at Enterprize Park, near Flinders St station, about 5.30am on Sunday. Sources have told the Herald Sun the dispute was over a motorbike Mr Woodhead claimed he had received for his 18th birthday. It is believed he had accused Mr Perry of stealing the bike shortly before allegedly stabbing him. The court heard Mr Woodhead was withdrawing from cannabis use and had mental health issues including suicidal thoughts. He was not currently on any medication. On his Facebook page Mr Woodhead claims to be a former Melbourne Grammar student and current soldier. An ADF spokesperson said Defence had no record of a person by the name of Easton Woodhead who is currently serving or who had served in the Australian Defence Force. Mousey had been known to homeless services for decades. Major(An Officer in The Salvation Army is a Salvationist who is in essence a minister of the Christian faith, but who fulfills many other roles not usually fulfilled by clergy of other denominations. Commissioning sees the Cadets promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and formalizes the Cadet's first posting (commonly referred to as 'Marching Orders'). These orders can send the new Lieutenants anywhere in the territory, and sometimes even see them posted to other territories that could involve overseas service. Officers have the opportunity to serve within the Salvation Army in many different capacities, and may be posted at a Corps, Divisional / Territorial Headquarters, the Training College, The Trade, a Recovery / Rehabilitation centre, as a Chaplain (E.g. courts & prisons, hospitals), a street level outreach centre, a new or newer Corps (known as an 'Outpost' or 'Plant'), and any number of other need specific ministries. In years past, officers were given 'Farewell Orders' every two to five years in which they were reassigned to different posts. Appointments of at least 5 years are now commonplace 常有的事, 常见的事. Officers hold ranks throughout their service, and even into retirement, and their rank is reflected in their uniform. The uniform of an Officer is much like that of a Soldier, and like a Soldier's, is defined by the region in which the person is serving. The consistent difference between the two uniforms is that the Officer's uniform has red or maroon epaulettes on the shoulders, whilst a Soldier's are black or blue. The Latin singular insigne is rare and may strike some readers as pedantic. ). These insignia may be sewn into the epaulette, or be separate metal pins attached to the epaulettes.) Brendan Nottle of the Salvation Army said the system had failed Mousey, who he'd first met as a teenager seeking refuge in Fitzroy in the late 1980s. He said two days before his death he had spoken of the dangers of sleeping rough(sleep rough 露宿街头 to spend the night in the open; be without a home or without shelter. rough it To live without the usual comforts and conveniences: roughed it in a small hunting shack. The Rough Sleepers Initiative was an initiative by the Government of the United Kingdom's Rough Sleepers Unit (RSU), which resulted from a campaign by St Mungo's, a London homelessness charity, called National Sleep Out Week. It was designed to accommodate homeless people with emergency hostels.). "It's really strange what happened. He made a comment on Friday, just last week ... he said when you sleep rough you always have to sleep with one eye open because at any time you could be bashed, or stabbed to death," he said. "Then so tragically that happened on the Sunday morning." Major Nottle said Mousey's issues had begun in adolescence 始于青少年时代 and continued through his adult life. "I think the system failed him then, and there have been times since when the system could have intervened better and it didn't," Major Nottle said. "He was a really interesting guy. Whenever anyone did something to help him he was incredibly appreciative." Major Nottle had suspected Mousey was the victim when he first heard about the alleged attack. He was taken to hospital but didn't survive. "I just had a sense 有种感觉 it was him," Major Nottle said. "It's a complete waste of life." Mousey had reappeared at Salvation Army services eight or nine months ago after years of patchy contact 零星的联系, 零星的接触(patchy 零星的, 零零散散的 I. Made up of or marked by patches: patchy trousers. II. The chemicals included in the patch test kit are the offenders in approximately 85-90 percent of contact allergic eczema and include chemicals present in metals (e.g. nickel), rubber, leather, hair dyes, formaldehyde, lanolin, fragrance, preservative and other additives.). "It actually felt like an old family member returning home," Major Nottle said. The Salvos had been working on placing Mousey in temporary accommodation, but addiction issues had stopped him from accepting the offer. "He was saying 'I've got stuff I'm working on at the moment, but then I'll get in'," Major Nottle said. "But it was just too late." The number of Victorians seeking support from homeless services rose significantly in the last financial year to reach more than 92,000, according to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare. Council to Homeless Persons CEO Jenny Smith said the data confirmed anecdotal evidence that there had been a dramatic increase in people seeking help. Long-term or repeat homeless cases are on the rise in Melbourne, according to housing service Homeground. "The majority of people we see are not one-time cases," Homeground CEO Heather Holst said. "Some people we'll see many times. The longer people stay in that situation, the harder it is for them to get out of it." Ms Holst said while young people were a high-risk demographic人群, there were more services dedicated to them. "It's the group between 30 and 55 years old where things are really hard," she said. "The Melbourne population is increasing and affordable housing that's in the range of people on low incomes keeps shrinking and shrinking." Mr Woodhead was remanded to reappear in court on May 27. 另一报道: Accused killer of homeless man was popular grammar boy who changed on drugs. Melbourne teenager Easton Woodhead appeared to have the brightest of futures. Just over a year ago, he graduated from one of the city's most prestigious private schools - Melbourne Grammar School. His artwork was featured on the school's website and he competed in medal-winning rowing teams. 'Mousey' Perry in his encampment under a CBD bridge. He died just days after this photo was taken. Those who knew him described him as "very popular" and, until recently, his Facebook page pointed to a happy and privileged teenager who enjoyed larking around ( lark1 n. I. He is accused of killing a homeless man, whose meagre life possessions(meagre (ˈmi:ɡə) or meager I. Deficient in quantity, fullness, or extent; scanty. II. Deficient in richness, fertility, or vigor; feeble: the meager soil of an eroded plain. III. Having little flesh; lean.) were kept next to a pylon under a city railway bridge. Other street people who saw Sunday's 5.30am attack on Wayne "Mousey" Perry said the fatal stabbing could have been over a stolen motorbike. However, some of what the young man dressed in black said to them made little sense, they said, as he had also raved about werewolves and vampires. "He told us that he got his bike for his 18th birthday and he knows that Mouse stole it and he had come to hurt Mouse for stealing it," Paul, 39, said. Mr Woodhead appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court dressed in a blue police-issued jumpsuit, zipped up to his chin. It was the first time in his life the young man had been in police custody. The teenager had been using cannabis and shown suicidal ideations(ideate To form an idea of; imagine or conceive: "Such characters represent a grotesquely blown-up aspect of an ideal man . . . if not realizable, capable of being ideated" (Anthony Burgess).), magistrate Andrew Capell was told. His lawyers are concerned about his mental health. Fairfax Media has been told by those who knew Mr Woodhead that his behaviour had altered行为大变 a few months ago when he began using drugs. In December he posted two pictures with drug or violent themes, including what appears to be a computer-generated image of a man smashing open another person's head. They contrasted with earlier photos on his page, which showed him at the beach and embracing friends. Headmaster Roy Kelley said: "This tragic incident is now with the Victoria Police and therefore it is appropriate that Melbourne Grammar School will not be making any further comment." Parents who send their children to the Anglican school pay tuition fees of about $27,000 a year. The Salvation Army's Major Brendan Nottle was in court and reflected on two lives lost. "Mouse had built some really strong connections with housing workers and we were doing everything we could to encourage him off the streets, but unfortunately that didn't transpire (transpire I. To become known; come to light. Despite efforts to hush the matter up, it soon transpired that the colonels had met with the rebel leaders. II. Usage Problem To come about; happen or occur. The word is, however, widely used in the former sense, esp in spoken English.) before his death," he said. "So we've lost Mouse and then there's also another young man who has been accused of his murder and he had his whole life before him." Major Nottle said the death of the popular homeless man had brought out暴漏了 the best and worst of Melburnians. He said he was disgusted to see people taking "selfies" in front of the Enterprize Park site where Mr Perry was stabbed. A puddle of blood and some of the homeless man's possessions had been left behind when police abandoned the crime scene about 18 hours before cleaners arrived. But Major Nottle he said others had responded with shock and sadness that one of the most vulnerable people in Melbourne had been allegedly murdered in "the world's most liveable city". He wants the death to result in more money spent on accommodation for homeless people in the city. Mr Woodhead was remanded until a committal hearing on May 27.

Lee Ryan 事件: Celebrity Big Brother Star Lee Ryan Had an Intimate Relationship with Blue Bandmate Duncan James: Lee Ryan has reportedly shared an intimate relationship with Blue band mate Duncan James. The Celebrity Big Brother star publicly revealed for the first time, that he has had sexual relationships with men in the past. "Yeah I've been with a man. No-one's bothered to ask."A source revealed to The Sun: "Lee has an incredibly intense relationship with Duncan. He feels he is the only person in the world who truly understands him. "They love each other and it's true they've been intimate over the years. They're completely comfortable with each other and still go on holidays together."' "Even though they both have children, neither has married and that's quite telling." While he hasn't openly spoken of relationships with men in the past, Ryan has hinted at his closeness亲密, 亲近 with James in an interview with Now magazine back in 2010. "Me and Duncan had threesomes! We did some crazy s**t with each other. And I'm a bit camp 有点娘 sometimes," he said. James first revealed that he is bi-sexual in The News Of The World in 2009. Speaking on The Big Reunion about his inner conflict 内心冲突 regarding his sexuality he said: "Being brought up as a strict 严格的 Catholic, the whole gay thing in my head was bad and wrong. And it wasn't until in the band, being around other gay guys, understanding明白 that actually you can be gay. It's alright to like other guys." Ryan has come under fire for his flirtations in the Big Brother house and has been seen switching his attentions between glamour model Casey Batchelor and US actress Jasmine Waltz. The singer has frequently broken down in tears累蹦 stating that he is worried about the public perception of him公众怎么看他. When asked if it was weird having sex with a girl with his band mate there, Lee replied: 'No, you just high five each other [shrieking]. This method is generally used for cooking large joints of meat or entire animals, such as pigs or turkeys. The rotation cooks the meat evenly in its own juices and allows easy access for continuous self-basting. In medieval and early modern kitchens, the spit was the preferred way of cooking meat in a large household. A servant, preferably最好是 a boy, sat near the spit turning the metal rod slowly and cooking the food; he was known as the "spit boy" or "spit jack". Mechanical turnspits ("roasting jacks") were later invented, first powered by dogs on treadmills, and then by steam power and mechanical clockwork mechanisms. The spit could also be powered by a turbine mounted in the chimney with a worm transmission for torque and speed conversion. Spits are now usually driven by electric motors. It's a sad, sad situation: Lee Ryan sheds tears over the way he's being portrayed in the CBB house: It's not going well for Lee Ryan in the Celebrity Big Brother house and it's getting more and more absurd. On two occasions, Lee looked like he couldn't breathe easy and shed a few tears following the backlash from his romances with both Casey Batchelor and Jasmine Waltz while cooped up (coop someone or something up to confine someone or something in a small place. To confine in a restricted place or situation. Don't coop me up. I can't stand small places. We had to coop up the dogs for a while.) with the glamour model in the Bolthole. 'I feel like I got to keep explaining myself from yesterday,' Ryan cried in the diary room. 'It's like hearing them all go "get Lee out, get Lee out" and booing and stuff and then feeling some kind of emotion for Casey then feeling emotion for Jasmine then looking like some kind of player. 'I don't want people to hate me cos I just don't and I'm worried about coming out and everyone is gonna be like you fucking prick.' Earlier in the day, he tried to justify his actions towards Jasmine and Casey to Big Brother: 'I felt like my whole world was crashing down, like I just lost the love of my life and I woke up this morning and thought what the f**k am I going on about( go on about Talk too much. He's always going on about his kids.), when I think about it I kissed a girl the night before and then went and kiss a girl the next night, well I've done that on a weekend loads of times.' But it seems his womanising ways aren't limited to the Celebrity Big Brother house, as the Blue star regaled Casey with one of his sleazy stories that seemed to play out more like a Craig David song. He can't breathe easy: Lee is starting to feel the strain 压力 of his player ways in the house. 'I got five girls numbers, when they were all dancing, I got the fittest girls numbers that were in there, so the following week, on the Monday I had sex with one, on the Tuesday..., they all went in on the Saturday and told each other and I got them on the phone ringing me up saying yours an a***hole.' I got the better end of the deal there; I never put that thing in my mouth.' Lee Ryan caught on a skype video: There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity.
